The Story

McCormick® Rubbed Sage starts with dried sage leaves, perfectly crumbled for robust flavor. Use at holiday time to season roast turkey, stuffing and gravy, as well as in everyday meals like chicken pot pie and roasted vegetables. Our sage leaves are hand-picked for bright herb flavor. The silvery gray leaves are gently dried then lightly milled and sieved into a fluffy, almost cotton-like texture, a process known as rubbing. Traditionally, sage adds its warm taste and rich aroma to poultry, pork and game. Its distinctive piney-woody flavor also pairs well with butternut squash, mushrooms and potatoes, and is often featured in warm, comforting soups, stews and cheesy dishes.
